A 23-year-old Smith’s man was in intensive care at King Edward VII Memorial Hospital after injuries suffered in a single vehicle accident last night on Middle Road in Southampton near the junction with Lighthouse Road.

At about 7.10pm, first responders were dispatched to a reported serious single vehicle motorcycle collision.

Traffic was diverted away from the area while collision investigators examined the scene.

Inquiries regarding this collision are continuing and any witnesses that have not yet come forward should contact the main police telephone number 295-0011.

Earlier yesterday, at about 2am, first responders were dispatched to a reported single vehicle collision on North Shore Road in Hamilton Parish near the junction with East Point Lane.

It appears that a car being driven along North Shore Road collided with a wall. The driver, a 26-year-old St George’s woman and her passenger, a 24-year-old St George’s man, were taken to the hospital via ambulance for treatment of relatively minor injuries and later discharged.

Both the car and wall were extensively damaged.

Inquiries regarding this collision are continuing and any witnesses should contact PC Dexter Hunte at the Southside Police Station on 293-2222.
