Talent abounds at TechArt

Can you name some of the artists taking part in this year’s event?

Susan Thomas, Glenn Fairies and Dejon Simons, among others. Usually we get lots of entries from the schools as well.

How does TechArt differ from other exhibitions here?

It’s the only digital art show in Bermuda and is an opportunity for people of all ages and abilities to enter and win.

How do you feel technology has changed the landscape of art as we know it? Has it made it more accessible to a larger audience?

Yes. Technology has certainly changed the landscape of art. As an advertising agency we have seen this firsthand in the tools that we use to create and promote adverts. Technology makes art accessible to all ages and abilities. The introduction of the iPad and simple intuitive apps has made art more accessible. Indeed, we added the iPad category to TechArt for this very reason.

What do you hope people leave with after seeing this year’s show?
