A month of heightened awareness for one of Bermuda’s most prevalent and serious diseases starts today, with the launch of Diabetes Awareness Month from the stairs of City Hall in Hamilton.

Starting at 12.30pm, Graeme Outerbridge, the Mayor of Hamilton, will open the ceremony, with talks by Taiwo Ogunyemi, Sara McKittrick and Debbie Jones, of the Bermuda Diabetes Association.

A presentation on wellness will be followed by an invitation to a special exhibition at the Bermuda Society of the Arts.
