Woman denies sandwich theft

A woman accused of tussling with a police officer after allegedly stealing a grilled cheese sandwich has denied the charges in Magistrates’ Court.

Timiea Roland, 26, of Fenton’s Drive, Pembroke, pleaded not guilty to stealing the food from the Rubis gas station in Warwick on Sunday, as well as assaulting a police officer.

Magistrate Khamisi Tokunbo offered bail of $1,000 and set a February 12 trial date.
