Anointed Steps Dance Ministry to present two Saturday shows

Today

Anointed Steps Dance Ministry School will present its 2014 recital presentation New Beginnings Bring Change. There will be two shows: a matinee at 3.30pm and evening show at 7.30pm — both taking place in the New Berkeley Cafetorium. Tickets, $25 for children, $35 for adults and $50 for patrons, are available at the doors or by calling 292-2014.

Women Aglow Int will host a fellowship worship service at Astwood Hall, Church Street, Hamilton. Pastor Dwayne A Simons of Praise Palace Church of God of Prophecy, Curving Avenue, Pembroke will be the speaker. The service starts at 9.30am and will be followed by light refreshments. Tomorrow

Cornerstone Bible Fellowship will hold a special service, with guest speaker Kaitlin Pinkleton, from Brooklyn Tabernacle. Ms Pinkleton will share her testimony of being abused, addicted and homeless to being rescued by God. The service will be at Ruth Seaton James Centre for Performing Arts (CedarBridge Academy) at 10am.

Marsden First United Methodist Church will hold a celebration service. The service, featuring guest speaker Rev Dr Joseph F Whalen Jr, will take place at the Cleveland County Cricket Club at 10.30am. A buffet lunch will follow.

(Monday) November 10

First Church of God Northshore will be hosting its Glow Party of the Year on Monday night. Six of the Island’s best Gospel DJ’s will be playing music, while special guests will also be performing. Food and drink will be there for purchase. There will also be glow product giveaways. The event costs $10, with proceeds raised going to Joie Hollis Trott’s medical expenses. (Tuesday) November 11

Centenary United Methodist Women is holding its annual Christmas Tea and Sale from 2pm to 5pm. The event will take place in Stephenson Hall, at the corner of South Shore and Collector’s Hill, Smith’s. It includes the sale of baked goods, plants, gift items and afternoon tea.

November 15

Peace Lutheran Church will celebrate its 50th Anniversary with a Congregation Anniversary Dinner and special worship service on Sunday, November 16 at 4pm. People are encouraged to come and praise God for 50 years of ministry. The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saint will be hosting an event featuring guest speaker Elder Donald L. Hallstrom, a leading authority of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints from Salt Lake City, Utah. The service will take place at their space on 15 Wilkinson Avenue (next to Crystal Caves) from 11.45am until 1.45pm. For more information call 737-5719.

November 30

Echelon International will hold Bermuda’s first a cappella competition, Joyful Noise! at 7pm at the Ruth Seaton James Auditorium. The night will be one of inspiration and fun. Tickets, $50, can be purchased online (www.BDATix.bm) or by calling 232-2255.

Bethel AME’s Women’s Day Celebrations will commence with two special services at 11am and 4pm. The guest speaker will be Rev Conitras Houston Moore from Greater Ward Chapel AME Church in Columbus, Georgia. The theme will be Jewels of the Kingdom: Empowered Women Embracing Lost Souls. There will also be lunch served for $15.

Cobbs Hill Methodist Church will hold a special Sunday puppet ministry performance featuring The SOLID Rock Puppet Ministry at 9.40am.
