Dear Sir

As first time visitors from Scotland to your lovely Island we were pleased and interested by your article in Saturday’s Royal Gazette about the Scottish independence debate. One of the mantras of the NO campaign has been “Scotland is too small to be independent”. Having been here for nearly a month we have seen at first-hand how well a country (which is for practical purposes almost totally independent) much smaller than Scotland, can function and this has reinforced our view that Scotland would be a great success as an independent country.

Many thanks for all the kindness that has been shown to us during our stay in Bermuda and we wish you continuing success.
