Stone Crusher Corner is not the right place

Wrong place? A letter writer has expressed concerns about the proposed redevelopment at LF Wade International Airport

November 12, 2014

Dear Sir,

In my opinion I don’t think this new airport location is the right one, I’ve always had the understanding that a new airport would be where Longtail Aviation is located.

If you have it over by Stone Crusher Corner you would be all jammed up with the executive jet area that can handle on some days as many as 16 aircraft and warplanes that pass through the Bermuda area from time to time.

Another point of asking is, where would the parking area for airport personnel be? Where would the taxi area be located? Where would the area for persons collecting passengers be? Where would the cargo area be for unloading aircraft?

Would the maintenance area for vehicles be moved? Would the kitchen food area be moved?

Would an airport over Stone Crusher Corner interfere with the motor boat racing that occurs in the summer months?

I would be more than happy to volunteer my practical services to assist in this new airport, gratuities not included!
