A 29-year-old man has appeared in court over the shooting at Somerset Cricket Club on Remembrance Day.

Germiko Williams, from Hillview Lane, Warwick, is charged with four counts of intent to do grievous bodily harm by shooting at Kirt Brown Jr, Denzel Crockwell, Lorenzo Dill and Gladstone Wade on November 11.

He is also charged with possession of a firearm and possession of five .40 caliber rounds of ammunition without a licence.

He did not have to submit a plea in Magistrates’ Court this morning because the charges are indictable and must be heard in the Supreme Court.

He was remanded into custody by Senior Magistrate Juan Wolffe and will appear in court again on December 5, by which time he should have appointed a lawyer.
