A Lott of Sista Love (ALOSL) will be hosting its fourth annual Christmas Hamper and Toy Drive, from now until December 20. The group is hoping to gather non-perishable food items and toys to give to needy families in Bermuda this holiday season. Restoration Fellowship presents its 14th Annual International Prophetic Encounter, continuing today and tomorrow. The event, at the Fairmont Southampton Mid-Ocean Amphitheatre, includes a Jericho Hour Prayer today at 7am. Tomorrow there will be a Sunday worship service led by Dr Kervin Smith at 10.30am, followed by a closing service led by Bishop Henry Browne at 6.30pm. TOMORROW

Saint Andrew’s Presbyterian Church will have a Thanksgiving brunch from 12.30pm at Astwood Hall (the pink church on the corner of Church and Courts Streets). Tickets are $25 for adults or $10 for children. To reserve tickets call the church office on 292-7601 or e-mail pinkchurch@logic.bm.

Centenary United Methodist Church will celebrate its 175th Anniversary with a special worship service at 11am. Guest preacher will be Bishop Marcus Matthews, Resident Bishop, Baltimore Washington Conference of the United Methodist Church. This will be the Bishop and his wife’s first visit to Bermuda. All are welcome to attend tomorrow’s service at South Shore Road and Collectors Hill Road, Smith’s.

Cornerstone Bible Fellowship will feature special guest singer Dez Duron, known for his time on television singing contest The Voice Season Three on NBC, in it’s regular Sunday service. Located in the Ruth Seaton James Centre for the Performing Arts (at CedarBridge Academy), the service starts at 10am.

Next Thursday

Chapel of Ease Annual Thanksgiving Dinner will be held from 4pm until 7pm at the Chapel of Ease School Room in St David’s. Dinner and dessert cost $20 — and includes a meal with all the trimmings. Next Saturday

Peace Lutheran Church (located on 54 South Road, Paget — opposite Botanical Gardens) will be having a Fall Bazaar from 9am until 2pm. There will be books, clothing, baked goods, miscellaneous items, food and toys for sale. There will also be a silent auction on offer.

United Church Women of Ebenezer Methodist Church will be hosting its luncheon and sale (including books, baked goods, plants and fancy goods) from 10am until 2pm. The events will take place at Ebenezer Church Hall, located on 9 York Street, St George.

The Hamilton Seventh-day Adventist Church will be hosting a special thanksgiving celebration to all Service Workers who helped clean-up after the two recent storms on Saturday, November 29 at 5pm. Next Sunday

Wesley Methodist Church will host ‘Advent Sunday’ next week Sunday at 11am. Local choirs including The Choir of Emmanuel Methodist Church, The Choir of Wesley Methodist Church, The Renaissance Ringers, Ambassadors of Harmony and flautist Sheilagh Robertson will be taking part. The event will showcase music from great composers such as Bach, Archer, Callahan, Chaminade and Manz. The church is located at 41 Church Street in Hamilton.

Echelon International will hold Bermuda’s first a cappella competition, Joyful Noise!, at 7pm at the Ruth Seaton James Centre for the Perming Arts. The night will be one of inspiration and fun. Tickets, $50, can be purchased online (www.BDATix.bm) or by calling 232-2255.

Bethel AME’s Women’s Day Celebrations will commence with two special services at 11am and 4pm. The guest speaker will be Rev Conitras Houston Moore from Greater Ward Chapel AME Church in Columbus, Georgia. The theme will be Jewels of the Kingdom: Empowered Women Embracing Lost Souls. There will also be lunch served for $15.

Cobbs Hill Methodist Church will hold a special Sunday puppet ministry performance featuring The SOLID Rock Puppet Ministry at 9.40am.

St David’s Guild Chapel-of-Ease will host its Christmas Bazaar in the Edith Clair Spencer Hall, St Peter’s Church, ‘Their Majesties Chappell’, from 9am to 3pm. For more information call 297-1217.

December 6

Saint Andrew’s Presbyterian Church presents its pre-Christmas table sale at Astwood Hall (the pink church on the corner of Church and Court Streets) from 9am to 4pm. There will be a huge variety of baked goods and gifts on sale. Refreshments will be on offer.

December 20

Inter-Island Communications will host its second annual gospel concert on Saturday, December 20 at 7pm at the Ruth Seaton James Centre for Performing Arts. It will feature 2014 Bermuda Idol Olivia Hamilton, Calvin Busby, Janice Pearman, Tricay, the Vernon Temple Praise Team, the Richard Allen AME Young Adult Network Praise Team, the Agape Faith Kingdom Ministries Praise Team, the Restoration Ministries Seventh-day Adventist Praise Team, The Five Keys and Bermuda Soul Recording Artist Kaelyn Kastle. Tickets go on sale on Monday at 27th Century Boutique, Music Box and the HOTT 107.5 and Magic 102.7 studios.
