FAC teams up with Israeli travel firm

A Bermuda global online payments firm has teamed up with an Israel-based travel firm, it was announced yesterday.

First Atlantic Commerce (FAC) said it would have full affiliation and technical integration with Tel Aviv firm Travolutionary, which allows travel-related companies to access different product sources, compare and book them.

FAC chief operating officer Ronnie Viera said: “We’re pleased to be working with this highly flexible comparison and booking platform.

“Travolutionary empowers some of the leading travel companies worldwide and we are happy to be part of that offering.”

The move means that the cloud-based Travolutionary platform is now linked to FAC’s gateway, allowing the Israeli firm’s customers to accept online credit and debit card payments through the Bermuda company.

Travolutionary commercial director Max Chertkov added: “We are happy to add First Atlantic Commerce to our list of payment providers, which offers our customers even more choice.

“FAC’s merchants will able to to gain instant access to online travel agents’ published and wholesale rates should they choose to use Travolutionary.”

Hamilton-headquartered FAC, founded in 1998, was set up to create secure card-based payment methods for online businesses.

It provides multi-currency payment systems to in addition to fraud risk management services to companies and banks in Bermuda, the Caribbean, Panama, the UK and Europe, as well as Mauritius.

Travolutionary is a cloud-based travel industry platform with more than 100 supplier sources in areas like hotels, flights and car hire and is deployed across a total of 27 markets and includes some of the world’s biggest travel companies.
