A total of 218,910 Bank of Butterfield shares, worth more than $435,850, were sold on the Bermuda Stock Exchange yesterday.

The move saw shares in the bank close up one cent at $2 per share, a 0.5 per cent increase.

The Royal Gazette/BSX Index closed at 1375.28, 4.72 points (0.34 per cent) up on the previous day.

The BSX Insurance Index finished the day up 9.4 points (0.62 per cent) at 1534.56.
