Centenary United hosts service of reflection on New Year’s Eve

Tomorrow

Wesley Methodist Church will hold its First Sunday after Christmas Service at 11am. Their Sunday School begins at 10.30am and is for children from the age of two.

Wednesday (New Year’s Eve)

Centenary United Methodist Church will host a service of quiet reflection with readings and music. They are encouraging people to come from 6pm until 7pm to sit quietly, reflect, meditate and prepare for the coming year. For more information call 292-0742.

Wesley Methodist Church will hold its traditional Watch Night Service starting at 11.15pm led by visitation Minister Leo Mills. The sermon is called Turning over a New Leaf. This has been a challenging year for many, so Mr Mills will share a way forward. Guests may also be able to hear the city’s fireworks at midnight.

January 10

Women Aglow Int will host The Fellowship Worship Service at Astwood Hall, Church Street, Hamilton. The meeting begins at 9.45am. It will be led by speaker Elder Ruth Ann Lambe of The First Church of God North Shore. Light refreshments will be served. For more information contact Brenda Webb at 293-0955.
