A gift campaign dubbed the Shoebox Drive struck gold in the run-up to Christmas, collecting enough boxes of gifts and treats for all its target recipients.
Volunteers gathered at King Edward VII Memorial Hospital’s old emergency department to distribute the boxes to patients at the Continuing Care Unit and Agape House.
“We also collected some delicious treats for the clients of Meals on Wheels,” said organiser Tricia Walters.
The campaign brought together three social media groups — Art on the Town, Giving In Bermuda and Helping Out In Any Way (Bermuda).
