Dear Sir,

No disrespect but, although it’s a new year, I doubt it’ll be a happy one.

I mean look at the amount of deaths that’s happened so far, the fact we don’t have a death penalty but, can criticise other countries that do (you’ll be surprised what men did long time ago, when a person got murdered/they found out who was the guilty one, who did the killing).

The amount of chaos that’s been happening so far (despite which political party was involved in it).

It’s becoming less/less short of “happy” nowadays, (except for that song by Pharrell, that’s still catchy).
