Bank’s shares improve

More than 16,800 shares, worth $78,688, traded on The Royal Gazette/BSX.

A total of 7,000 Bank of Butterfield shares were sold, lifting the closing price one cent (0.05 per cent) to $2.

In the insurance sector, shares of BF&M and Argus were traded.

Argus saw 2,904 of its stock change hands. Its shares closed at $3.50, ten cents (2.8 per cent) lower.

A total of 2,000 BF&M shares traded, leaving its price unchanged at $17.75.

Bermuda Aviation Services saw 3,000 shares exchanged. The closing price was 45 cents (17.6 per cent) lower up at $3.

Ascendant Group, the parent company of power firm Belco, had 1,900 of its shares traded. There was no change to the closing price of $5.25.

The Royal Gazette/BSX closed at 1367.78, up 4.86 points (0.36 per cent).

The BSX Insurance Index ended the day at 1,498.66, up 1.94 points (0.13 per cent).
