Homeless man remanded for two-year-old offence

A 35-year-old man charged with robbery and burglary was remanded into custody when he appeared in Magistrates’ Court this morning.

Robert Damon Green, of no fixed abode, is accused of robbing the complainant at his home in Paget and then burgling the residence on January 12, 2013.

Mr Green was not required to enter a plea, as he will be tried in Supreme Court. Magistrate Khamisi Tokunbo withdrew bail and remanded Mr Green into custody. The matter was adjourned to January 30.

Also in Magistrates’ Court this morning, a 33-year-old Warwick man pleaded not guilty to causing grievous bodily harm to another man.

Kurt Dowling denied the offence, which allegedly occurred on December 19.

Mr Dowling was released on $3,000 bail and a trial date was set for April 29.
