Attraction voted second most popular in region

The National Museum has been rated the second most popular museum in the Caribbean area by TripAdvisor.

The museum in Dockyard was ranked second behind the National Museum of Beautiful Arts in Cuba in the 2014 Traveller’s Choice Awards.

Masterworks Museum of Bermuda Art was ranked ninth in the competition giving the Island two of the top ten museums in the Caribbean.

National Museum curator, Elena Strong, said: “The National Museum of Bermuda is thrilled to be named the number two museum in the Caribbean.

“This ranking is entirely due to hundreds of positive visitor reviews.

“This is not just great exposure for the museum but also for Bermuda as a cultural heritage tourism destination.It is wonderful for the museum to be recognised by our visitors as a top place to visit.”
