Books to beat the winter blues

Bermuda National Library

Avid readers are invited to join an adult winter reading programme, with the chance of winning weekly and grand prizes.

Starting next Monday, the Bermuda National Library is hosting “A Winter Reading Escape”.

“Once again this year, our winter reading programme offers a fun-filled experience with the opportunity to read what you like or to step out of your comfort zone to try something completely different,” Public Services Librarian Julie Bean said.

She added: “Readers can use the library to escape the winter blues. In the non-fiction section, we have do-it-yourself, nutrition, sports, cooking and travel planning.

“In the fiction section, books can be chosen based on a seasonal theme, excluding winter, to escape the cold winter days.”

Registration begins on Saturday at Adult Services in the Bermuda National Library on Queen Street.
