Delta has cancelled flights to and from Bermuda, as New York and New England prepare for a massive winter storm, a Government spokesperson stated yesterday.

As of 11am, Delta’s flight DL1773 between Bermuda and New York’s JFK airport was cancelled. In addition, today’s Delta flights DL561 and DL560 between Boston and Bermuda, and then from Bermuda back to Boston, have been cancelled.

Blizzard warnings have been issued for the New York City area, much of New Jersey and parts of southern New England.

Forecasts suggest New York could see 20 inches of snow today and tomorrow, while parts of New England could be buried under two feet of snow.

High winds are also expected in the region.
