Matthew Oliveira powered his way to victory in the fifth race of the Flying Colours Mountain Bike Race Series at Ferry Point Park on Sunday.

Oliveira took early control of the race and never let up, lapping the entire field to capture the Male A class honours by a landslide.

Robin Horsefield finished a distant second with Neil De Ste Croix taking third.

Dylan Hill won the Male B class honours with Phil Trussell and Andrew Hern taking second and third.

Claiming male and female novice honours was the husband and wife pair of Daron and Kendra Dowling.

Racing resumes on February 18 at Fort Scaur.
