Feel the love: Beach yoga will be held at sunrise and sunset on Chaplin Bay this month

Beach yoga will among the activities featured in this year’s Love Month.

The activity is making its debut as one of the events for the annual celebration of romance thanks to a collaboration between the Bermuda Tourism Authority (BTA) and Kallie Marcus, who owns local company Kinetix.

“We know from researching the desires of today’s traveller that Bermuda’s target visitors will appreciate this new February option added to our tourism hub on the South Shore,” said Pat Phillip-Fairn, chief product and experiences development officer.

“We were drawn to Kallie’s entrepreneurial spirit and the unique experience she can offer visitors.”

The line-up for Love Month 2015, which runs throughout this month, has been unveiled by the product and experiences division of the BTA.

There are 11 activities, including pottery classes, fragrance-making workshops, rose garden tours of some of Bermuda’s stateliest homes, and weekly cruises, which feature Bermuda rum and hors d’oeuvres.

“I applaud our industry stakeholders who are working hard in collaboration with the BTA team to build a collection of truly unique experiences for visitors,” Mrs Phillip-Fairn said.

“With a consistent and sustained effort towards ‘only in Bermuda’ experiences, or experiences we do better than anyone else, the Island will separate itself from its competitors.”

The yoga classes will be held at sunrise and sunset at Chaplin Bay Beach on several days.

According to organisers, the February activities are designed for couples, but in almost every case can be experienced individually or by groups of friends.
