Hamilton welcomes 360 tourists

Warm welcome: The Hamburg and her 360 passengers arrived in Hamilton yesterday morning but only spent a day in the city before setting sail for Horta, in the Azores. The liner is the first of a scheduled 16 cruise calls in Hamilton this year

The first cruise ship of the 2015 season arrived in Hamilton yesterday morning in brilliant sunshine.

The Hamburg and her 360 passengers originated in Tortola in the British Virgin Islands and were only in town for the day. The liner left Hamilton in the afternoon bound for Horta in the Azores.

The Hamburg is the first of a scheduled 16 cruise calls in Hamilton this year, which include six trips by the returning Holland-America vessel, Veendam.

The next cruise ship to stop in Bermuda will be the Riviera, which is due to call at Dockyard on April 4.
