Man seriously injured in crash

A 42-year-old man suffered serious internal injuries in a traffic collision on Sunday night in Pembroke.

According to a Police spokesman, just before 10pm officers responded to a report of a crash near the junction of Crow Lane and Corkscrew Hill. “Details are limited at this time however it appears that a motorcycle was pulling out of the bus lay-by and a car travelling in an easterly direction on Crow Lane collided.

“As a result, a 42 year old man was taken to the King Edward VII Memorial Hospital, where he is presently in the Intensive Care Unit listed in stable condition with serious internal injuries however, the driver of the car escaped unharmed.”

Police are urging any witnesses or anyone who might have seen this collision to contact Police on 295-0011.
