Warwick Academy students win Science Olympics

Warwick Academy students took gold in the Science Olympics

On Saturday, February 28, Mount Saint Agnes Academy held its third annual Science Olympics. The atmosphere was filled with excitement as many schools from across the Island participated.

This year, Warwick Academy, the returning champions, had two teams in the Y6 category and three teams in the Y7 to Y8 categories. The day started with cloudy skies but the teams did not let this deter them.

The teams faced a variety of challenges some had to use good observational skills and powers of deduction, while other teams combined science with an athletic flare.

There were quizzes and team-building activities and the ultimate challenge the “hot, hot, hot” and “marshmallow towers”.

The day was packed with fun and all teams proudly represented Warwick Academy — showing leadership, team spirit and a commitment to the fair test.

All teams should be commended but the winning team was Y7: Kilae Crockwell, An Mei Daniels, Ari Harrison, Melissa Weekes and Logan Thompson.
