Digicel gives Mayho its backing

Dominique Mayho: Digicel Bermuda has renewed its sponsorship of the talented cyclist

Digicel Bermuda has renewed its sponsorship of Dominique Mayho, the Bermuda cyclist.

Mayho is in California training and racing until April 13, and will then move on to Belgium and Canada as he spends the next couple of months testing himself against overseas competition.

The agreement with Digicel, which began in 2013, soon after he won the Bermuda National Road Race Championships and the May 24 Sinclair Packwood Memorial Road Race, will help with Mayho’s travelling and training costs.

“Digicel is pleased to witness Dominique transitioning to racing and training abroad,” said Alistair Beak, Digicel Bermuda’s chief executive. “Digicel remains committed to Dominique’s success and we continue to build on our partnership. We have great belief that Dominique will be catapulted to the next level of his career.

Mayho will train and race in California, before moving on to Belgium from April 15 to May 25 and he will finish up in Canada from May 26 to June 16.

“During Dominique’s time overseas, we will be watching his race results carefully. His achievements this summer will determine his next steps, as Dominique’s ultimate goal is to ride professionally,” Beak said.
