A fitness trainer and co-owner of a gym has been admitted to the Mid-Atlantic Wellness Institute after being accused of stalking.

Ron Magnum, 58, of Southampton, pleaded not guilty to the charge in Magistrates’ Court yesterday.

At a previous court appearance on February 27, Mr Magnum was granted bail after he denied contravening a temporary domestic violence protection order by allegedly contacting the complainant on the phone and entering and remaining on their property on February 25. He also denied entering and remaining on that property the next day.

In court yesterday, prosecutor Larissa Burgess amended the information on count one to read that from February 25 to March 5 this year, he is alleged to have stalked his victim.

Magistrate Khamisi Tokunbo remanded Mr Magnum to the Mid-Atlantic Wellness Institute until next Thursday so court reports can be carried out.
