Overtime concerns

A U.S. 100 dollar banknote sits on a pile of South Korean won banknotes in this arranged photograph in Seoul, South Korea, on Monday, March 16, 2015. South Korea's won fell for a sixth day, the longest run of losses since November, amid bets a Federal Reserve meeting this week will offer clues on the timing of U.S. interest-rate increases. Dear Sir,

At some jobs where one person was originally allowed 4 hours overtime pay, there’s suddenly no overtime at all. Fair enough except that those jobs, still require somebody to come in for at least two hours, even if a 2nd person covers another day.

What sort of jobs are these?

1) Trash pickup. Okay yes, Bermuda is only 22 square miles but, how many CRVs and other large vehicles are on the road, than there were back in the 70’s-90’s era? Don’t you think with the heavy traffic build-up, some areas won’t be able to get to on a regular weekday?

2) At a plant nursery where there’s outdoor/indoor plants about, plants still need to be watered (even on a weekend). If paying one person for 4 hours. is too much, have 2 people come in to cover two hours for two days. This way, the plants won’t suffer per weekend. Better than assuming the inside plants won’t suffer, despite the fact sometimes rain could cover the outdoor plants.
