A St George’s man accused of luring a 15-year-old girl over a social media site was bailed in Magistrates’ Court this morning.

The 28-year-old pleaded not guilty to communicating with a child for the purpose of committing the offence of luring by means of Facebook in Bermuda on February 19.

The defendant also denied intruding on the privacy of the girl in Warwick on March 12, and by doing so alarming and insulting or offending her.

Neither the defendant nor the complainant can be named for legal reasons.

Magistrate Khamisi Tokunbo granted $5,000 bail with a like surety on the condition that the defendant have no contact with the girl and report to Police twice a week.
