The First Church of God on Sound View Road, Somerset, is hosting a special Easter camp for children ages five and up

Today

St Philip AME Church on Harrington Sound Road, Smith’s, will hold a takeout codfish breakfast from 7.30am until 10.30am. The cost is $15, with proceeds going toward the church’s refurbishment.

Tomorrow

The Ladies Aid Society of Bethel AME Church will host its annual Palm Sunday symposium at 6pm. Speakers will include Rev Terry D Hasell (Heard Chapel AME), Rev Rudolph Ebbin (Sanctuary of Praise), Rev Gordon Shaw (of First Baptist Church in Devonshire) and Rev Ruth D Vanlowe Smith (Bethel AME). Monday (March 30)

The First Church of God at 75 Sound View Road, Somerset, will host a special Easter camp for children ages five and up through April 2. The cost per child is $50 for the week. For more information contact 234-0973 or e-mail: firstchurchofgod@logic.bm.

Tuesday (March 31)

The First Church of God will host a Holy Week revival at 7pm from March 31 to April 2. The church is located on 75 Sound View Road, Sandys. Speakers will be Pastor Lynette Rayner (Somerset Methodist Church) on March 31 and Pastor Lynn Landy (Agape Faith Fellowship) on April 1. There will also be communion and foot washing service on Thursday, April 2.

Good Friday (April 3)

The East End Ministerial Association will host a re-enactment of Jesus’ Walk to Calvary on Good Friday. It will start at 10.45am at Ebenezer Methodist Church and end with the ‘Crucifixion’ at Ordnance Island.

Next Sunday (April 5)

First Church of God on 75 Sound View Road, Sandys, will host a special worship service on Easter Sunday at 11am. The speaker will be Senior Pastor Deborah R Evans.

Saturday, April 11

Women Aglow Int invites the public to its Fellowship Worship Service at Astwood Hall on Church Street. The meeting, which starts at 9.45am, will feature guest speaker Pastor Lynette Rayner (of Somerset Methodist Church). Light refreshments will be served. Sunday, April 12

First Church of God (Sound View), will celebrate its 60th church anniversary with a special worship service at 11am. The speaker will be Assistant Pastor Terence Herbert. Then at 5pm, they will host the “Roll Back the Curtain Concert”. The Transformation Dancers, Angelics, 5 Keys and KSC Children’s Choir are among the choirs and soloists to perform.

Mondays

Saint Andrew’s Presbyterian Church (the pink church on the corner of Church & Court Streets) will have its Prayer Group, in the sanctuary from 12:45pm — 1:15pm. The group will meet on the first and third Monday of each month. They will be praying for individuals in the community, the world and the Island. It will be led by Elder Mary Brier. The First Church of God, “The Transformation Center”, located at 75 Sound View Road, Somerset, is running a TLC Institute Community School, Monday to Friday from 8.30am to 2.30pm.
