Dear Sir,

On behalf of Greenrock and the Earth Hour Council, I am writing to thank everyone who made Earth Hour 2015 such a glowing success.

This annual event is only made possible through hundreds of hours of hard work by dozens of committed individuals, and through the support of our Sponsoring Partners.

In particular, I would like to thank our Host – The Waterfront Properties and our Earth Steward Sponsors, Appleby, AXIS and BTC. Earth Hour 2015 also received financial support from many other Bermuda businesses including ACE Bermuda, Argus, Ariel Re, AS Coopers, Bacardi International, Bermuda Commercial Bank, Butterfield & Vallis, Catlin, Department of Energy, Hannover Re, OIL Group of Companies, PwC, Validus Group, Victoria Place and the XL Foundation.

We also extend our sincere appreciation to the entertainers, vendors, volunteers, retailers, staff at the Corporation of Hamilton, Bermuda Police Services, BELCO, Works and Engineering, St John Ambulance, and Bermuda Timing Systems all of whom helped create an evening full of vibrant community spirit.

A special thank you to Mr Eugene Dean, our Earth Hour Council Chair and an extraordinary Earth Hour Ambassador and Community Collaborator. Earth Hour offers Bermuda the opportunity to be a part of a global initiative to address the critical issue of sustainability. While it is a symbolic moment during the year, its power comes in reminding us that an abiding concern about the future of our Bermuda and of our planet is shared – across the Island and around the world.

We look forward to seeing you at next year’s Earth Hour which will be held on Saturday, March 19, 2016.

GORDON JOHNSON, Executive Director
