Man injured in 100ft cliff fall

A man has sustained unspecified injuries after falling over a 100ft cliff in the area of Lusher Hill, Warwick.

At about 3.45am, the Bermuda Fire and Rescue Service (BFRS) responded to reports of the incident with four personnel from the Port Royal Station.

BFRS spokesman Sergeant Jamal Albuoy, reported: “On our arrival, it was found that a 25-year-old male had fallen off a cliff on to a rocky ledge approximately 30 feet below.

“On trying to regain his footing, he then fell an additional 60ft, landing on a pile of sand. Emergency personnel observed there were cuts and abrasions to his body, and his face was covered in sand. He was immediately assessed and promptly transported to hospital via ambulance for further medical attention.”

The severity of his injuries cannot be confirmed and the incident is under investigation.
