Hubbard joins Polaris board

Paul Hubbard: Joining the board of Polaris

Paul Hubbard has joined the board of Polaris Holding Company Ltd, the company announced yesterday.

Chartered accountant Mr Hubbard’s appointment as a director follows the resignations of long-serving directors Patrick Morin and Alex Cooper in November.

Polaris is the parent company of Stevedoring Services Ltd, the service provider at Hamilton docks.

Polaris chairwoman Cheryl Hayward-Chew paid tribute to the contribution of Mr Morin and Mr Cooper.

“We are excited to welcome Mr Hubbard as the newest director on our board,” Ms Hayward-Chew added. “He brings a wealth of experience having retired in 2009 after 36 years as a senior partner with Deloitte & Touche, Bermuda.

“He has also served in a variety of senior roles in the intervening years leading to the present.”

Mr Hubbard will join Wayne Caines, Jeffrey Conyers, Eugene Saunders on the Polaris board, along with two directors appointed last year, Siobhan Lohan Rose and Howard Pitcher.
