Thousands of people flock to Coachella each year for good music and great fashion.

The California-based festival draws ordinary fashionistas and the more well-known ones. Celebrities like Katy Perry, Kendall Jenner and Rihanna have been spotted in the past week flaunting their hottest indie styles.

Lifestyle didn’t want to miss out on all the action — so we asked three trendy women to pick which of our three favourite Coachella 2015 looks suited them best.

Serena Lembo said she liked simple but edgy styles.

“What caught my eye about this outfit was the accessories,” the 24-year-old said. “The arm jewellery is something I like and her hat as well. It wasn’t until the second time I looked at the picture I realised I also liked her dress. It’s a really simple colour, but at the same time, sexy.”

The waitress hasn’t been to Coachella yet, but is hoping to go one day.

She said her everyday style was pretty basic, but she liked to spice her look up with cool accessories.

“I look for something fun and for bright colours, of course. I love shoes and sunglasses. I like the small details,” she said.

“I used to live in London, so for me I do like quite different styles. In London, I worked in a clothing shop, so every day I learned something about the new trends.

“Mostly, I get inspired by myself and the people around me. I also look on the internet and get ideas that way.”

Accountant Chloe Pullen said she preferred our more casual, maxi-dress look.

“I like it because it’s more conservative,” she said. “When I was younger, I used to wear shorter things, but I don’t feel I can wear too much of that anymore.”

The 31-year-old describes her style as classic and (hopefully) stylish.

“I like modern and up-to-date pieces,” she said. “I see things on Pinterest and E! News and stuff. From there I might keep an eye out for things I see that I like. One time I was watching E! News and loved a designer on it named Trina Turk and I went online and found the same thing and bought it. It didn’t look that great on me, but I am getting better at spotting clothes I like.”

One of her favourite celebrities is Jennifer Lopez. “Anything she puts on, she looks great in at the moment,” Ms Pullen said.

Canadian Samantha Ross said the short dress and ankle boot look would be the way she would go if she ventured to Coachella.

“I like the hat and boots and the low-back dress,” she said. “The other dress was too covered up for me and the other was a little too hippy. This one is more of the boho look and I like that. It’s not too revealing, but you can still see her legs, back and arms.”

Miss Ross, 23, works long hours as a waitress at Seabreeze Lounge at Elbow Beach. She likes dressing up whenever she has a day off.

“I’d say my style is simple, but always has a good fit,” she said. “I guess that’s what I like. I also try a lot of colour-blocking with simple shades and then I pair it with gold accessories — like on my purse and earrings. Everything goes together with the shoes, purse and maybe darker accessories as well.”

She’s inspired by what she sees on the street and online. She doesn’t follow many celebrities, but will check out what models like Rosie Huntington-Whiteley are wearing. They tend to get the first crack at new trends, which helps her to jump on the style bandwagon a little sooner than others, she said.
