An assault victim was taken to hospital yesterday evening after being attacked at Queen Elizabeth Park.

The man was assaulted near to the Bermuda National Library at 7.40pm.

Police are appealing for any witnesses to the attack to call 295-0011.

A spokesman said: “Details are limited at this time; however it appears that a man was accosted by another man near the Bermuda National Library.

“Initial information suggests that the victim’s injuries are not believed to be life threatening.

“However, he was transported to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital via ambulance for treatment.”
