Long service recognition for employees

A group of six colleagues who have worked for East End Asphalt for a combined total of 110 years have been recognised for their long service.

The Hamilton Parish-based firm, which was established in 1968, specialises in paving and supplies mixed asphalt, granite stone and sand to contractors in the Island.

The employees being recognised for their long service include Mervyn Van Putton, who has been with the company for 30 years and Tracey Moniz, Ray Whitecross and Andre Caisey who have all give 20 years of service.

Also honoured were Lyndon Smith and Craig Tucker, who have been with the firm for 15 and five years respectively.

“The company takes great pride in supporting our staff as they are our greatest asset.,” said Brian Gonsalves, general manager, who presented the six employees with certificates.

“We offer our sincerest thanks and gratitude for their time and dedication over the years while they support our company.”

The company said it was playing catch up as the awards, which are presented in five-year increments. Some of the employees have already surpassed the total years for which they are were recognised today and will soon be eligible for the next round of long service awards.

East End Asphalt is part of the East End Group of Companies, which include East End Telecom and Renaissance Aviation Limited.
