West Pembroke Primary hosts Ag Show

The West Pembroke Family hosted an Ag Show last week. Mr Wendell Smith told us: “It is the committee that deserves the kudos, for in just two days they transformed the hall into a vibrant, colourful and inviting setting. There was the smell of popcorn, the sights of Billie goats and rabbits, and the sounds of laughter and joy, as the chickens clucked. Old fashioned go carts were on hand, as well as a huge fun castle. All that was missing were the horses and the pigs. Well, there’s always next year, if the usual one is absent again.” Neighbours, family and friends of the school enjoyed the full day of celebration. Mr Paget Wharton, the spouse of a teacher, said: “Mr Smith, let me tell you something — this brought tears to my eyes.” Andalyn Swan, Happy Valley Day Care Supervisor, said: “Excellent, excellent, well done, you guys out did yourselves this time.” A neighbour to the school summed up the day saying “Oh it was beautiful, beautiful!”
