Schoolchildren and medical experts will gather on the steps of City Hall in Hamilton tomorrow to mark World Asthma Day.

The annual event, which is marked in more than 80 countries around the world, is aimed at improving asthma awareness and care throughout the globe.

Charity Open Airways has organised the event with this year’s theme being “A Preventer a day keeps asthma away”.

Doctors and nurses will be on hand at City Hall between 11.30am and 2.30pm to answer questions and advise anyone with asthma on how best to control the condition.
