I noted with interest a Bermuda Tourism Authority report and also other letters that seemed to long for yesteryear.

Bermuda tourism was greatly helped by the Queen of Bermuda and I wondered if there were some similar-sized boats — that have become obsolete with the onset of the gargantuan cruise ships — that could become a “Queen” once again.

Smaller boats would be able to come into Hamilton and the trips could also enable Bermudians to shop in the US as well.

They sailed in an era when people did not have a lot of air options but now that so many of us enjoy sea travel it might be worth investigating.
