Bermuda College to graduate 113 students

Commencement 2015 at Bermuda College will see 113 graduates cross the stage to receive certificates in 22 different programmes, the College announced yesterday.

The ceremony will see the graduation of the first eight students of the rigorous Associate Degree in Nursing programme, and will also record the oldest graduate, 72-year-old Richard Powell, who is set to receive his Diploma in Culinary Arts. The Associate of Arts in Business Administration degree is the largest group with 14 graduates.

Forty-one per cent of the graduating class earned either a merit (GPA of between 3.0 and 3.49) or a distinction (GPA of 3.5 to 4.0).

There are also 16 graduates of the Mount Saint Vincent University (MSVU) baccalaureate degree programmes. Fourteen of the MSVU graduates will be receiving the Bachelor of Business Administration degree and two will receive a Bachelor of Arts in Child and Youth Study. The ceremony start at 2.30pm today on the College athletic field.
