Why do we continue sending, “weekend cricketers” overseas to represent the Island?

Granted, there are/have been some good all-round cricketers on the Island over the years, but them days, on a whole, have gone. We need to spend 12 months a year on the crease/field if we’re to produce all-round cricketers to compete in international matches.
