The Bermuda Football Association’s grassroots festival for girls brought out a host of players and coaches to BFA Field.

The Fifa-backed initiative took place on Saturday with girls from age 5 to 12 being put through their paces by Andrew Bascome, the Bermuda head coach.

“The idea behind the Grassroots festival is to provide and increase opportunities for more girls to get involved at the grassroots level.

“We need to have a sound foundation so we can have a sustainable Women’s Programme.” Shequita Parsons, BFA Executive Member and Chairwoman of the Women’s Football Committee, said.
