Gospel Explosion, a special interfaith concert, will feature performances by Olivia Hamilton, the Richard Allen Praise Team and New York-based, award-winning gospel saxophone artist Tony Smith. It kicks off at the Heritage Worship Centre at 8pm. Proceeds will go to cancer sufferer Kevina Santucci, kidney failure patient Kelee Darrell and sickle-cell survivor Aquilah Salaam, as well as the LCCA. Tickets are $35 for general admission, $75 for patrons and $200 for sponsors. Tomorrow

The Anglican Church of Bermuda will be celebrating its 40 years serving the community by hosting a special Diocesan Open Air Celebration on Sunday at the Arboretum at 2pm. People are encouraged to bring the whole family for an afternoon of fun and fellowship.

Saturday, June 6

Marsden First United Methodist Church will host a Rainbow Tea & Hat Show on June 6 from 3pm until 5pm. People are encouraged to submit their hats for judging by 3.30pm; a parade of hats will follow at 4.15pm. To attend the cost is $15. Saint Andrew’s Presbyterian Church (the pink church on the corner of Church and Court Streets) will have its Prayer Group, in the sanctuary from 12.45pm to 1.15pm. The group will meet on the first and third Monday of each month. They will be praying for individuals in the community, the world and the Island. It will be led by Elder Mary Brier.
