Prison inmate denies possessing drugs

A Westgate Correctional Facility inmate denied possessing drugs with intent to supply when he appeared in Magistrates’ Court this morning.

Raymond Kidd, 22, pleaded not guilty to possessing cannabis and cannabis resin with intent to supply in an increased penalty zone, namely Westgate, on January 13.

Kidd also denied attempting to convey drugs into the prison on the same date.

Magistrate Khamisi Tokunbo set a trial date on August 12 for Kidd to reappear.
