Budding footballers get chance to be scouted

• Calling all alumni of PRIDE Bermuda and Y2Y. Whether you were a volunteer, former staff, or youth participant, you are invited to reconnect at the 1st PRIDE Bermuda and Y2Y Alumni Reception on Thursday, June 11. • Enjoy an all-inclusive fete in a private sunset location at Evolve on Thursday, June 11. • Masterworks Museum of Bermuda Art will open their new show, Debra Friedman: Twelve to Twenty, Photographing Teenage Bermuda, to the public on Friday, June 12. Established Canadian commercial and fine art photographer, Debra Friedman, is exhibiting a series of portraits of Bermudian youth that she created as a Masterworks artist in residence. Debra photographed a large cross-section of teen culture and documented the delicate coming of age as teenagers develop their individual identities.Opening hours are from 10am until 4pm, Monday to Saturday, and from 11am until 4.30pm on Sundays. Masterworks is closed on public holidays. General admission is $5, or free for members and children under 12.The exhibit will run until June 23. • Glow Bermuda presents Bermuda’s 1st All Inclusive Day Fete White Party on Sunday, June 14. From 4pm until 11pm in the garden at Par-La-Ville Park, this event will feature BLAXX from Trinidad. On decks, you’ll find DJ Chubb from Bermuda, DJ Spice from New York, and Nuphoric from Trinidad.Tickets are $80 in advance from www.pTix.bm or $100 at the door. All drinks and meals are included.

• Back in Bermuda after five years exploring and touring the world, you are invited to come experience Taylor Rankin and his violin Leroy with drummer Dwight Hart at Leroyfest 2015, over three nights, at three different venues.The boys will bring you into the journey they’ve been on out in the world and into the imagination and weirdness of Rankin and Leroy. Experience their unique groove, see the violin Leroy, DJ scratch and soulfully scream as Taylor manipulates his voice from accents to styles around the world.On top of all this, 12 surprise guest artists (3 to 5 per night) will seamlessly collaborate and mingle within the shows. Each show will be a unique experience. On Friday, June 19, the venue will be Bermuda Society of Arts. Starting at about 8.30pm, this evening is billed as being a groovy night lined with special surprises. The cost is $40 for members and $45 for non-members from www.pTix.bm. Friday, June 26, promises a light mini festival atmosphere, where you can watch surrounded by our fish friends at the Aquarium, with shows at 7pm and 9.30pm. Attendees to the early show can see guest artists perform at their aquarium mini venues and chill, while attendees to the late show can see guest artists perform pre-show.
