How can an even bigger yard be justified?

Dear Sir,

I read J Appleseed’s recent letter in The Royal Gazette about the plans for the Botanical Gardens project and how he thought they were acceptable. Well, I’m sorry, they are simply not.

I grew up not far from there and spent my childhood playing in that park and let me tell you, it sure looked a lot better back then than it does now.

My mother was constantly on the phone about all the noise coming from that yard. It was loud and I know it bugged a lot of the other neighbours, too. And there was only a handful of guys working there then.

Please don’t try and tell me those large trucks going in and out on to South Road weren’t dangerous, because they were.

There never should have been a yard there in the first place. How can putting an even bigger one there be acceptable?
