For several months, the postal service in Paget has been almost nonexistent.

The last time I received delivered mail was the second week of May. Several of the items were postmarked April 20, local mail.

On June 8 I went to the main post office and was dealt with by a very nice young lady who gave me my mail, 15 pieces.

One of the items was postmarked May 15. This item was from the Ascendant Group, informing me of the annual general meeting that was to take place on Friday, June 5. You can see my problem.

Paget Post Office was closed down recently but the problem had been going on for some time before that decision was made.

I believe that the lady who used to deliver mail in my area of Paget, PG04, retired and has not been replaced.

Neighbours have told me that they have seen mail being delivered on a Saturday, although I cannot confirm this.

Can anyone explain what is going on?
