Argus shares fall 6%

A total of 39,000 shares in insurance firm Argus changed hands on the Bermuda Stock Exchange today.

The trade saw Argus shares drop 24 cents (6.2 per cent) to $3.66.

And 930 shares in insurance company BF&M also moved, leaving its price up 45 cents (2.6 per cent) at $17.70.

The Bank of Butterfield saw eight of its preference shares trade, with the share ending day down $1 (0.1 per cent) at $1,135.

The Royal Gazette/BSX Index closed down 1.35 points (0.11 per cent) at 1,177.63.

The BSX Insurance Index was also down — 0.93 points (0.05 per cent) at 1,593.35.
