A Southampton teenager required hospital treatment yesterday after he suffered a laceration to his right leg when his jet ski collided with another.

According to a police statement, Marine Police responded to a collision near Hawkins Island at about 5.30pm.

The jet skis were part of a tour and the collision occurred between the local male tour leader and a local male member of the tour group.

The tour leader was injured, but the tour group member was not.

The victim, believed to be a 19-year-old Southampton man, was taken to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital for treatment and later discharged.
