Sharon Wilson’s Art Gallery in Southampton is hosting an open house tomorrow to highlight its work and services.

Ms Wilson and fellow artist Monica Jones said they were working hard to put the focus on customer service, offering term payments and accepting commissions.

Ms Jones said: “When my daughter was married, Sharon came and photographed the fitting of the dress. She also took photographs at the wedding with the aim of creating a series of paintings.

“The three paintings are precious mementoes. When I’m ready, I’ll pass them on to my daughter and grandchildren, making them family treasures or heirlooms.”

Ms Wilson added: “Occasionally, folks want to understand better what is involved in having a commissioned painting created. Some have old photos and want to know what we can create from them. The open house provides the opportunity to ask those questions.

“We want to be sure that our customers know what their options are, and explain the risks involved in commissions contracts.”

Sharon Wilson’s Art Gallery is located at 2 Turtle Place, Southampton, and the open house will take place between 10am and 6pm tomorrow.
