Hillier in prime position

First Prev 1 Next Last

Kalin Hillier, the Bermudian sailor, finds himself in first place in the Laser Standard Rig event at the conclusion of the first day of sailing at the NatWest Island Games.

Hillier’s two third-place finishes and two fourth-place finishes have him in the lead with four races down and five to go. He is trailed by Mans Lundberg of Aland in second and Dominic Breen-Turner of Anglesey.

David Hillier of Bermuda is also competing and finds himself in seventeenth place out of 21 competitors.

Bermudian sailboarder David Kendall is in the mix in the individual sailboarding event, sitting in fifth place with finishes of fourth, tenth, and third.

Scott Mello is in eleventh, Matthew Wilken is in fifteenth, and Alexander Jones is tied for last place.

There is still plenty of sailboarding to go, with eleven more races scheduled throughout the week as the competitors jockey for position.
